CARY, N.C. -- Cary is keeping an eye on conservation, even though their water supply is back to normal.

Today, the town held a truckload rain barrel sale at Bond Park.

The barrels normally cost about $150, but Cary was moving them for $87.

Organizers say people should work at conserving all year long, rather than just waiting until the water supply gets in trouble.

"We need to make sure that we keep our water source, which is Jordan Lake, a vital part of our community," said Srijana Guilford, a Conservation Education Specialist with the Town of Cary. "And so doing what you can every day of the year to save water is going to be important."

As of 11a.m., more than 50 barrels had been sold.
